` t h e . w o r l d . t h r o u g h . m y . e y e s: ` meet the parents

every time peoples' moms come, i always find tat i am drawn to these older ladies as they are so carefree, so funny and so down to earth. they say the funniest things and make me laugh so much, they cook the nicest food that i gobble down, and they are so nice to talk with even though there are language barriers! haha! and i just want to go and talk to them about anything under the sun. they are so cute and adorable.. hehe.

take for example h's mom, so nice and cute , acutally that is the only example :( haha, and also OH, J's mom, Cl's mom, even K's mom. last time she saw me she just came up to me and hugged me. and now G's mom,, even though i cant speak indo at all, i tried my best to come up wit my words,

our conversation was on the lines of this:

auntie: " (alot of in depth crazy indo)

me: " apa kabar"?, also got, "bagus" ( i think i said to almost everything)

then got, 'suka makan'. however thats spelt and then got satu? dua? and then got cantik...

anyway she understood wat i was trying to say, and went to their place for dinner the other night and yummmmmm the food was GOOD. haha today im not goin to be lazy and i will post the pics. round of applause to me, thanks.

anyway she is going to knit us scarfs so nice lah.............

as L said to me, its good to get to know and make your friends' parents feel welcome, friendship goes beyond just caring for your friends but also caring for the parents too.

i think i have learnt alot in these few years. as i was chatting wit J last night, we have all come a long long way, once all from daniels' group, were these immature snotty nosed, emotional people, but no longer are we that. it is amazing to see how far we have come and how we have grown, and i can indeed testify to some of the amazing breakthroughs that i've seen throughout those years. God is indeed amazing he has brought us this far and will continue to bring us to new heights. sometimes i miss the old daniels group, life group has changed so much since then. we used to be a group of 30 odd people, now we're 15 or so. but none the less, life changes, people move on, people get married, and people move away - these are the things i have come to learn to adjust to over these years as well.

it has been an interesting journey.. and one that i think will continue till we all grow old and hairy and wrinkly... all the great frends i know now i want to hold and cherish till we all go to heaven, cos your friendship means the world to me.

our cake that we baked togheter..... although not as successful as i hoped it would be. it was a bit hard :( boo....but none the less, edible and nice :) creme pat cake as MY calls it....
