A dozen fans of Michael Jackson reportedly commit suicide

MICHAEL Jackson's death has reportedly led to at least a dozen people to kill themselves worldwide while Australians seek help from a suicide prevention hotline. Some callers to Lifeline Australia, which speaks to about 50 suicidal people each day, have told counsellors that Jackson's death on Friday had left them distressed. London man Gary Taylor, who owns the biggest Michael Jackson online fan club, said he was aware of about 12 suicides following the performer's death, Sky News UK reports. "It is a serious situation that these people are going through but Michael Jackson would never want this," Mr Taylor said.
He would want them to live."Lifeline CEO Dawn O'Neil said that while there has not been "a dramatic increase" in calls to counsellors since Friday, people have spoken about how Jackson's death has affected them. "We have had some calls related to this," Ms O’Neil said. "In some cases, (a celebrity's death) can be very distressing." The calls came as a friend to the famous family, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, urged fans not to "self-destruct". "This is a time when hearts are heavy," Jackson said. "There is great pain but great cause to celebrate Michael's life. "It made Michael happy saying 'We Are The World'. Don't self destruct."Ms O'Neil said it was important for people to discuss how they feel in times of death. "With any loss or death, everyone grieves in their own way," she said. That was on news.com.au a few days ago.... i just couldnt believe all the this hype there is about MJ..... its like get over it man.. HALF if not ALL fans of MJ do not even personaly know him, so how can u cry for him, weep for him, be sad for him when only u know him by his music and not personally.... what more, DIE FOR HIM????? is he worth dying for???

i dont know what the world has come to. that people would die for someone they did not know personally. sure hes a great singer... great artist, great musician.... but is he really worth ur life...

alot of people greived so much for him, when i heard of his death i jus thot oh. another one dead ah? i felt alot of famous people are dying of late. like heath ledger, that farah lady, and some others which i have forgotton.
